Aave MANA AMANA

Aave MANA refers to the MANA token (Decentraland) that is integrated into the Aave protocol. MANA is the native cryptocurrency of the Decentraland virtual reality platform. When users supply MANA to the Aave market, they receive aTokens called aMANA in return. These aMANA tokens represent the amount of MANA supplied and the yield earned on that supply. The value of aMANA is pegged to the value of the corresponding MANA at a 1:1 ratio. aMANA can be stored, transferred, or traded, and the yield earned is distributed directly to aMANA holders.

Aave MANA is unique compared to other cryptocurrencies because it is an aToken issued by the Aave lending protocol specifically for the MANA token. aTokens are tokens minted and burnt upon supply and withdrawal of assets to an Aave market. The value of aTokens is pegged to the value of the corresponding supplied asset at a 1:1 ratio. Additionally, aTokens holders receive the yield earned on the assets they supply directly into their wallets.
